Should this be a bit too long-winded for your liking, feel free to skip to 'THE IDEA'. THE BACKSTORY: 4 days ago, something was born in me. Maybe delivered from God. Maybe it's just another result of mental chemical reactions. 4 days ago, I had a realisation. And when your mind is as scatty as mine, you're able to have several realisations a month, and if your memory sucks like mine does, it's very possible to have them more than once each. But this one struck a chord in me, which when you're desensitised to the vagabond ramblings of everyday life, is crucially important. In this world of the Twitterati and facebook updates every time someone gets on or off a bus and this, what is essentially the dawn of the golden age of blogging, we can have so much access to so much information on other people. This is only a small suggestion/idea, but I thought it could have a more interactive discussion, so I wasn't sure if I should've posted it on feedback or here. But I chose here, so meh! As the title implies, what if there were a Tailcast feature for audio, like the Tailspin is for imagery and writing? E.g. a quarterly CD with a selection of music from within those three months? Or perhaps it could be something the Tailcast community works at together, where musicians collaborate to create a compilation of music produced around a central theme? If costliness and money is an issue, it could be digitally distributed instead, perhaps. If bandwidth were a problem in that case, torrents are a possibility. Maybe it could eventually go even farther to be cast in DVD format and be all-encompassing - have video, audio, writing, etc.? Could pair audio with poetry or images that it suits or vice-versa. This is all purely speculation. Do know that I have not yet owned any issue of Tailspin, so I'm not really sure what it does and does not feature already. just a side note, for those who live in America.  every top from a can the pop top thing ya know....every one you save is one minute of dialysis for a child. if youre already a recycling person its not trouble at all and if youre not its still just a pop away. you can take them into the post office, ive been told Walmart takes them too but i don't know about that. it never hurts to ask. read more

 Tyneham is a tiny village located on the Dorset coast between LulworthCastle and CorfeCastle.   On December 19th 1943 the British army took over the area surrounding Tyneham for military exercises to prepare for the war effort and all of the villagers were evacuated.   The villagers left with the promise ringing in their ears that they could return to their homes when the war ended.     As they left this note was pinned to the door of the church at Tyneham...   “Please treat the Church and houses with care. We have given up our homes where many of us have lived for generations, to help win the war to keep men free. We shall return one day and thank you for treating the village kindly”….     However, contrary to ‘Churchill’s Pledge’ and after years of political wrangling…they were never allowed to return...and their homes were left empty and became known as the ‘forgotten village’    here are some photos from the ‘ghost’ village as it stands today…     read more
