In what alchemical furnace did mercury turn to brass?
As those without eyes are blinded by its light,
For there within is purity and life, aye and nature of life,
Then will the red dragon and the white be joined.
There be no lies or corruptions here, all is laid bare,
For the impious man is naught but rubbish strewn,
Yet for the meek that, which they seek is near and true,
Look then within and see what gold beneath lies hid.
Then from the well of dark, bring forth the silver light,
Show the light, for that is what ye seek, and do most diligent,
For there is happiness and strives ever up to banners unfurled,
Gaiety and laughter reign when first the stone is found.
Yon stone in fires hottest part, shall burn the fingers of the impure,
Even was I to tell its secret plain, it would all go amiss,
For those whose feet are planted firm in nature’s ways,
Then soft I say look ye too your soul and righteous be thy mind.

thanks all, this one has meaning and hope for those who seek the three in one.

Another piece here that I really like. Again, your style is among the types that I really prefer. When I read poetry, I like metaphor, double meanings...hidden like riddles within a literal labyrinth. Mystery and intrigue. I see that your writing thus far carries a lot of that within it. You're a good writer David, it's a pleasure to read your work.
