What more uplifting and exalted be, great musician of the sea,
Where waves crash onto sleepy shore, with cymbal accompaniment,
Those great breakers of musical note, that pounds my heart,
Where in the sound does light play over stormy seas and bring to calm.
Now slow then fast from first to last, symphony of life,
From mountain top to valley floor, then crescendo is no more,
Great love and passion intertwined, to bring the music of my mind,
Then onto page it waves and curls, whilst quavers quartet all unfurls.
Oh bliss as violin creeps in to make the head all in a spin,
Then body racked with ecstasy as the melody sings to me,
Piano, harp, cello too bring the scene all fresh and new,
That there I stand upon a rock, and watch the oceans herald crash upon my beach.
