- Coriolis effect
(for ZenBen)
It seems that we
can never move
straight or true.
The distance
between
I and you
destined
always
to be
travelled
concentrically.
It appears that
I digress
moving
at 90 degrees
from my
heart's desire
and your
fragility.
If light
must snake
and oscillate
in its eternal
trajectory,
why should we
expect to travel
differently?
You and I are writ
in letters:
GATC
They survive
by twinning,
traversing
fecund spaces
pregnant
with
possibility.
Our lives together
are writ the same.
The direct path
always and ever
curved.
And that last
departure?
Just me
returning
back to you,
straight and true
the only
way I knew.

Stunning, perceptive, ingenious and revealing. And quite gorgeous to read! I can sense this one will be winding around my thoughts for a while this evening

Oooooohhhhh.... I dunno why, maybe it's because I know what the coriolis effect is or maybe b/c a few months ago I had a fellow play crazy back and forth rotating games with my life, my head, my heart... but this one (as wonderfully as it is written) stirs up my "angry place". *letting it go* Deep breath in Deep breath out. :D It starts with an emotion, then a thought, then a word, then an action... and it's all as twisted as it is well intended. In hindsight though, I can't see it both ways. I see only twisted, curved.... tricks of the mind. Fan-effin-tastic work Pete! Your brilliance is astounding!

Good to see you posting again Pete. Great images come to mind as I read this - and the ending is very good - emotive. I like it!
