- Dark Dream
The gears are turning
They churned endlessly
What may have beckoned our surprise
Remained hidden from our weary eyes, until
The crowbars sifted through the gears
And gun shots rang an aural pierce
"Run, friend!" was exclaimed;
"Come, friend!" I said, I call by name.
"I know a safer place!"
Yet eluded me his wounded leg.
With arrival came a silent war
When life-loss brought him to the floor
His blood froze to the heartless ground
That breath, two words, unafraid to drown
Lonely in nature, succeeded by none
What left his lips?
"Save yourself!"
Having traveled as far as I can
I have run my greatest distance
All in the bane of finding you
Here I am, but now I must dive
I must dive
