- I Was Washed Ashore
In this haze, I was shorn
of all the flames that burned inside
Nothing is ever that simple
But when I saw you
for the first time in years
I knew the suprise was a novelty
I wasn't sure
I was washed ashore
In the mist, I was taught
to extinguish my fears
Nothing is ever that simple
But when you saw me
on that fateful day
I knew you saw straight through me
I wasn't sure
But I've been here before
I wasn't sure
I was washed ashore
In the silver sand, I try
to remember your last words
Nothing is ever that simple
As I waited in the sunlight
I knew you had forgotten about me
Those days were formed in the ocean waves
Those days were formed in the ocean waves

Thank you Juni! Life can be funny in its own ways. I suppose you just have to ride the tide until someone else comes along.

"saw straight through you".... sometimes this is a thing that means you see me for who I am and you can see what no one else does, and sometimes it means you don't see me at all. I feel like this is the the later... it's mostly all I've known.... Those days were formed in the ocean waves and I was washed ashore.... It seems for me though the one forming days with me in ocean waves washed up with me. I enjoyed this Bejn. A lot. <3
