Sound fills the air

The children hide under the covers

Outside it's getting darker

Rumble of the thunder seems to penetrate you

Marvelous thing is a storm

Running inside to shelter they go

And some people running outside to splash in the puddles

Inside the people are drinking hot cocoa

Not the others, just watch them go go

Light fills the sky so dark

Inside the dog begins to bark

Glorious lights in the sky

Having trouble sleeping, i wonder why

The loud CRACK makes the kids run for mummy

Never strikes twice my grandpa used to say

It will soon pass over it will soon go away

Now as the lightning leaves, you can just hear it say

Good night for now i'll be back another day
